Newsletter – 10th May 2021

We had another good week, last week, with lots of great learning taking place. The children continue to amaze us all with how well they have managed during this difficult time and how engaged they are in their learning.

We are pleased to be able to welcome back the Cobras tomorrow after their recent bubble closure. We would like to remind everyone of the importance of isolating at home if your child has been in contact with a positive case. Until the guidance changes this is an expectation for all children. There’s lots of information and advice on how to isolate correctly on the NHS website.

Book fair

The book fair will be arriving in school between 17th– 21st May. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, Parents/Carers will be unable to visit the fair this year. Instead, children will view the fair with their class and make a note of the book/books that they like; they will then come home and order with a parent from home. You could also go through the catalogue together at home and select books from there. An order form and a catalogue are attached to this email to help you make your order.

Parents’ Meetings (Online)

A link for booking online Parents’ meetings will be sent out shortly.

The online appointments will be available to book from 7pm on the 11th May

Appointments will take place on:

Tuesday 18th May and Wednesday the 19th May for children in Years 1-6

Wednesday the 19th and Thursday 20th for children in EYFS

Mrs Gilroy will not be available on Tuesday the 18th May so an extra evening will be added on the 8th June.

Mini Reports

Children in Years 1-6 will be sent a mini report at the end of this week informing you of the levels your child is currently working at. These can be discussed at the parents’ meetings. Children in EYFS will not be receiving a mini report as they are not assessed in the same way. All children will receive a full report at the end of the year.

If you have any further questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us by calling the school office or by email.
